The short answer
Writesonic wins for anyone whose deliverable is articles, because Copy.ai stopped selling them by the article. Writesonic's plans are metered in articles a month: 15 on Starter at $79, 25 on Basic at $199, and 50 on Growth at $399 billed yearly, with 20 more available on Growth for $100. Copy.ai's entry plan, Chat, is $24 a month billed yearly for seats and carries no article allowance, and workflow credits only start at Growth for $1,000 a month, where its own pricing FAQ says a credit is a unit of compute and every run costs a different amount, so no per-article price can be read off the page.
Copy.ai owns one axis outright: a workflow can be triggered hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly, and Writesonic has nothing like it, since article generation runs when you start it, bulk generation is a CSV you upload and download, and the content calendar in its own SEO agent docs is marked Coming Soon. The catch is what that schedule fires: a workflow you built and fed, so every topic is still yours to supply. Delivery goes back the other way. Writesonic pushes finished work into WordPress, Contentful, Drupal, Webflow, or Sanity, though its Agents docs say nothing is published automatically, ever, while Copy.ai's documented destinations are Google Docs and OneDrive plus a workflowRun.completed webhook registered through the Workflows API, which its pricing page lists under Enterprise.
The honest framing is that these are no longer the same product. Copy.ai sells a go-to-market platform (prospecting, inbound lead processing, ABM, localization, deal coaching), with content creation one tile among six, its old blog-post tools and templates discontinued, and a single sentence of SEO guidance in a 107-article help centre. Writesonic sells AI search visibility, tracking ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews on the self-serve plans and all 10 engines on Enterprise, with the article writer attached to it. Neither one plans the topics, which is the job Timothe's Growth Calendar does before it writes.
