Guide
What is the Extract PDF pages tool?
The Extract PDF pages tool creates one new PDF containing only the pages you select from an existing PDF. It keeps each chosen page in its original document order, so you can collect non-consecutive pages without changing their sequence.
Use the PDF tool that matches the result you need:
When it comes in handy
- Send only the relevant pages from a long report to a client
- Save one chapter or appendix from a manual as a separate PDF
- Collect selected invoice, contract, or presentation pages into one file
- Prepare a shorter handout from non-consecutive pages in a larger document
How to use
- Drop a PDF into the upload area or select it from your device.
- Click each page thumbnail that you want to include in the new PDF.
- Use Select all, Clear, or Invert when you need to change many pages at once.
- Check the selected page count, then press "Create PDF from selected pages."
Example: for an eight-page PDF, select pages 2, 5, and 8. The downloaded PDF contains three pages in that same source order: page 2, then page 5, then page 8.
Notes
- Pages are saved in their original order, not in the order you click them. Use Reorder PDF pages after extraction when you need a different sequence.
- Password-protected files may need to be processed with Unlock PDF first.
- Document-level items such as bookmarks, attachments, and some metadata may not carry into the new PDF.
- Very large PDFs need more memory because the browser renders a thumbnail for every page.
