RSA character limit checker

Ad tools

Paste your Google RSA headlines (30), descriptions (90), and paths (15) — one per line — and see a live, CJK-aware character count with every over-limit asset flagged. Copy the passing set. Everything runs in your browser; your data is never uploaded.

What is this RSA character limit checker?

A free, browser-based tool for checking Google Responsive Search Ads (RSA) assets against their character limits. Paste your headlines, descriptions, and display paths — one asset per line — and every line gets a live character count with any over-limit asset flagged. Headlines are capped at 30 characters, descriptions at 90, and each display URL path at 15. The counter is CJK-aware: it counts by Unicode code point, so Japanese, Chinese, and Korean characters and even emoji each count as exactly one, matching how Google Ads counts them. When you are done, copy just the passing lines per field. Everything runs locally in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

How to use it

  1. Paste your RSA headlines, descriptions, and display paths into the three boxes on the left — one asset per line.
  2. Read the per-line character counts on the right; any line over 30 (headlines), 90 (descriptions), or 15 (paths) is highlighted.
  3. Trim the flagged lines, then press “Copy passing” to copy only the assets within the limit straight into Google Ads.

Common use cases

  • Validating a batch of RSA headlines and descriptions before pasting them into Google Ads or a bulk-upload sheet.
  • Checking Japanese or other CJK copy, where character counts differ from byte or UTF-16 length.
  • Cleaning a candidate list down to only the assets that fit, so nothing gets silently rejected.
