What is this sales cost calculator?
A free, browser-based calculator that turns your team's total sales cost and stage volumes — inquiries, opportunities, and won deals — into three per-stage unit costs: cost per inquiry, cost per opportunity, and cost per won deal. It also flags where cost concentrates across the funnel. Everything runs locally in your browser, so your numbers are never uploaded.
The formulas
- Cost per inquiry = Total cost ÷ Inquiries.
- Cost per opportunity = Total cost ÷ Opportunities.
- Cost per won deal = Total cost ÷ Won deals.
- The same total cost is divided by progressively smaller counts, so unit cost rises as the funnel narrows — the highest one is where cost concentrates.
How to use it
- Enter your total team / sales cost for the period on the left.
- Enter the volume at each stage: inquiries, opportunities, and won deals.
- Read the three unit costs on the right and see which stage is flagged as the most expensive.
