Send contracts, quotes, and reports as fixed PDFs
"Convert Word to PDF" turns a Word (.docx) document into a PDF whose pagination is locked. That matters most for documents with consequences: the contract going out for signature, the quote or proposal attached to an email, the report headed for the files. The recipient gets a read-only final that prints exactly as you approved it. The rendering engine is LibreOffice, running on servers we operate ourselves; your document is never sent to a third-party conversion service.
Why a Word file shifts on someone else's machine
A .docx is re-paginated every time it is opened. If the reader's machine is missing one of your fonts, Word substitutes another; line wraps move, and page breaks land in new places. A heading slides onto the next page, a table splits at a different row, and the page numbers in your table of contents point at the wrong pages. A PDF ends that: the layout engine draws each page once, on our side, and captures it. Headers, footers, page numbers, tables, and page breaks stay where you put them, on screen and on paper.
Converting a document

.docxis accepted, at up to 20MB. - Run the conversion. The document is rendered on our servers, typically in under a minute.
- Download and send. Attach the PDF to the email with your quote, route it for signature, or file it. Each run also lands in your history for re-download; uploads and results are cleaned up automatically after a few hours, so fetch the PDF while it is there.

Format notes and limits
.docxonly. The legacy.docformat is not accepted; open old files in Word and save them as.docxbefore uploading.- One file per run, 20MB each. Text-only contracts rarely come close; scanned exhibits pasted in as images are what push a file over.
- Fonts: when a font is neither embedded nor present on our servers, the closest available one is used, which can change line wraps slightly. For brand-critical documents, embed the font in Word or stick to common typefaces.
- Japanese and other CJK text renders correctly. The fonts are installed on our servers, so a bilingual contract shows no tofu (□).
Credits
- 2 credits per conversion, a flat tool fee with no external conversion cost passed through.
- A paid plan is required. Credits come with the Timothe AI subscription. Pro and Max start with a 3-day trial (card required; it renews unless you cancel).
- The balance is shared across all Timothe AI tools.
- Failed runs are refunded automatically.
